Lomira’s Jake Broeske was voted as the Flyway Conference Boys Basketball Player of the Year and named to the WBCA Division 4 All-State team to cap off his senior year by leading the Lions to an undefeated conference championship and a sectional final appearance after returning from a knee injury in his junior season.

On March 21, the Lomira boys and girls track teams competed in the Tri-State Small School Invitational at UW-Platteville to start their indoor track seasons. The girls’ teams finished in seventh place with 30 points, and the boys’ team finished in tenth place, scoring 27 points at the UW-Platteville meet.
On March 4, Jordan Lisiecki was selected as the Boys Flyway Conference Wrestler of the Year. Liseicki is a three-time conference champion and state qualifier with two fourth-place finishes at state, and 120 career wins as a first-team academic all-state as a junior.
What appealed or attracted you to the Lomira job? “There has been substantial growth in soccer in the Lomira communities through the soccer programs in Brownsville, with the girls’ programs, specifically, having grown tremendously in numbers and commitment to development in the sport, with a real sense of community between all the girls who are playing in these programs,” said New Lomira Girls Soccer Head Coach Josh Haefs. “Often, the youth players will come to watch the older teams, and the older teams will take time to encourage and watch the younger girls’ team.
