Lomira Track Starts Season in Platteville

On March 21, the Lomira boys and girls track teams competed in the Tri-State Small School Invitational at UW-Platteville to start their indoor track seasons.
The girls’ teams finished in seventh place with 30 points, and the boys’ team finished in tenth place, scoring 27 points at the UW-Platteville meet.
The Lomira girls were led by second-place finishes by Whitney Witkowski in the 800m and Hanna Faber in the pole vault.
Alex Almeda-Potter paced the Lomira boys team with a second-place finish in the 200m.

“Our athletes competed very well today, considering our limited practices and the weather we’ve been experiencing,” said Head Coach Corey Bauer.
Lomira boys and girls track will be competing in the Beaver Dam Indoor Track Meet on March 27 at 5 p.m. and March 28 at 9 a.m.
