Mayville jumped out to a 21-0 first-quarter lead and never looked back in a 52-14 road win over Omro Friday night.
Joe Promersberger led the Cardinals’ ground attack with 157 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries. Tanner Schneider added a rushing touchdown and caught a 24-yard touchdown pass from Cooper Raddemann.
Mayville also found points on defense and special teams. Weston Teeters returned an interception 44 yards for a first-quarter touchdown, while Paxton Decker added a second interception. Owen Mlsna connected on a 31-yard field goal and was a perfect 7-for-7 on extra points.
Omro broke through with touchdown passes in the second and third quarters, but Mayville’s offense continued to pull away. Caden Arndt capped the Cardinals’ scoring with a fourth-quarter touchdown.
Mayville finished with 349 yards of offense, including 289 on the ground, while playing turnover-free football in the 52-14 win.
