Mayville Girls Take Second, Boys Third at Watertown Relays

Posted

Saturday, March 29 - Mayville, Wisc. - The Mayville track team delivered one of its strongest performances ever at the always competitive Watertown Relays on Saturday, March 29.

Facing tough competition, the girls secured a second place finish, while the boys took third out of six talented teams. Both squads rose to the occasion, winning three events each and earning a podium spot in every event they entered. The girls’ team showcased their depth and versatility, with multiple standout performances.

These first and second-place finishes were a testament to the team’s hard work and commitment to competing at a high level. Mayville athletes stepped up across multiple events, demonstrating both their skill and their ability to work as a team. The consistent top placements reflect the depth of the program and the willingness of each athlete to contribute to the overall team success.

Coach Berry was proud of the team’s effort and resilience, stating, “This meet requires a lot of people to step up and fill relays, and it’s great to see young athletes rising to the challenge. We had outstanding efforts across the board. I’m really impressed with how we’re working and competing.”

Mayville will return to Watertown on Saturday, April 5, for their invitational meet, starting at 10 a.m. “This event provides another great opportunity to compete against teams we don’t often see, and the team is looking forward to the challenge,” stated Berry.
