The Horicon American Legion Auxiliary Unit 157 hosted a Memorial Day ceremony Monday at 10 a.m. in Kiwanis Park to honor fallen service members.
The community event featured a memorial tribute, including a ceremonial gun salute, a reading of the poem “In Flanders Fields,” and a prayer for the soldiers who gave their lives and for those in attendance. Attendees also witnessed flowers being placed in the water to honor Navy service members.
Free food and drinks were provided for attendees. The event was open to the public.
