Sarah Marie Hilda Grulke Barnes, 49, of Little Rock, AR, formerly of Mayville, passed away on March 2, from a long fight with many medical issues.
Sarah may have been small of stature, but she had a big heart and was very loving when it came to her children and grandchildren. They will miss her dearly.
Sarah was born in Shinnar, Kerela, India, on January 19, 1974. She resided at the Holy Cross Convent and orphanage until 1978, at which time she immigrated to the United States to become the adopted daughter of Fredrick and Sandra Grulke of Mayville. Sarah was baptized on July 14, 1978, and confirmed on May 21, 1989, at Immanuel Lutheran (River Church) Town of Theresa.
She married Vince Barnes in Little Rock, AR, on January 21, 2001.
Sarah is survived by her husband, Vince Barnes; her three sons, LaMonte Grulke, LaDavid Arberry, LaVonte Arberry; two daughters, India (Aaron) Kalon, and Asia Jackson; two granddaughters, Ariyah Arberry and Skylar Arberry; and three grandsons, Nolan Arberry, Solomon Kalon and Kianen Jackson, all of Little Rock, AR.
Sarah is further survived by her mother, Sandra (Koepsell) Grulke Lichtenberg of Mayville; her brothers, Matthew (Dawn) Grulke of Lomira, Shawn (Michelle) and niece, Molly Grulke of Mayville, and a sister, Melinda Grulke, and nieces, Maxine Chapman and Simone Chapman, of Sun Prairie.
Sarah was preceded in death by her father, Fredrick 'Fritz' Grulke of Mayville; her brother, Michael Grulke of Oconomowoc; mother-in-law, Earlene Trimble of Jacksonville, AR; her grandparents, Arthur and Marjorie Koepsell of Hartford, and Reinhard and Norma Grulke of Mayville; two uncles, Frank (Wendy) Feucht and Steven (Nancy) Grulke of Mayville; and three aunts, Phyllis (Garold) Grulke Bartel of Scandinavia, Carolyn (Peter) Grulke Thompson of Mayville, and Cheryl (Eugene) Grulke of Lomira.
Burial will take place in Little Rock, AR.
