Sandra L. Poritz, 71, of Horicon, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2026, after a two-year battle of lung cancer.
Sandi was born the daughter of Irvin and Emergene (Ewert) Riese in Beaver Dam on February 9, 1955.
Sandi was united in marriage to Russel Poritz on September 1, 2006, in Horicon. Russ passed away in 2017.
She was employed by Kwik Trip for 25 years until her retirement in 2016.
She enjoyed going to the casino and especially the bus trips with her sisters Debbie and Sue.
Sandi is survived by her beloved cat, Rico; and her children, Bruce Christian Jr. of Horicon and Kelly (Dennis) Moldenhauer of Markesan; grandsons, Alec (Heather) Schumann of Tomahawk and Peyton (Becca) Schumann of Brownsville; her brother, Ken (Kim) Riese of Randolph; sisters, Debbie Sauer of Horicon and Susan Cook of Fox Lake; and brother, Mike (Jacci) Riese of Montello; Russ’s children, Allison (Rebecca) Poritz, Cassandra (Dan) Anderson and Rachel Poritz; and grandchildren, Ashton, Isaac, Elijah and Danger; further survived by nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and her brothers-in-law, Frank Sauer and Dean Cook.
A private memorial will be held by the family.
