Robert B. Kollmansberger, 91 of Georgetown, KY, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026.
He was born on March 29, 1934, to the late Benno and Helen (Schmeling) Kollmansberger in Milwaukee.
He grew up in Kekoskee. Bob attended the then Kekoskee State Graded School and graduated from Mayville High School in 1952.
Bob played hockey for Kekoskee and Mayville and played football and baseball in high school.
He was a pitcher in the Rock River League for LeRoy and Mayville.
Bob enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1954 and served in Okinawa and Japan until his honorable discharge in 1956.
After the Marine Corps, he attended college in Modesto, CA, at Modesto Junior College, where he became a starting pitcher on the MJC baseball team.
He worked a number of years in the aircraft industry in California, Washington and Missouri.
With a long time passion for horses, he spent the last thirty plus years in Kentucky working in the horse industry as a licensed horse trainer, owning and running a horse transportation business and other related endeavors.
Bob is survived by two sons, Robert (Kris) Kollmansberger and Michael (Leecia Manning) Kollmansberger; and granddaughter, Stella Kollmansberger. He is also survived by two brothers, Tom (Delores) Kollmansberger and Benno 'Bud' (Toni) Kollmansberger; and sister-in-law, Ginger Kollmansberger, as well as nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother, Richard Kollmansberger.
