Mary J. Sperger, 88, of Janesville/formerly Mayville, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Huntington Place Assisted Living in Janesville.
Mary was born on December 7, 1937, to the late Frank and Wilhelmina Raml.
Mary was united in marriage to David D. Sperger on September 13, 1958. Mary loved her family, always making meals and doting on her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. She loved walking and cooking for her family.
Mary is survived by her children, Gregory (Laurie) Sperger, Jean (Thomas) Binkley, Gary (Cynthia) Sperger; grandchildren, Johanna (Kishon) Monteith, Thomas (Anna) Binkley, Matthew Sperger, Sarah (Brady) Reese, Bradley (Kaylee) Sperger, Katie (Sacré Kapesa) Sperger; great-granddaughter, her little sweetie, Ava Reese; special niece, Terry Wester; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: husband, David Sperger; granddaughter, Jennifer Sperger; sisters, Adeline Wester, Rose Gordon; brothers, Bernie Raml, Francis Raml; brothers-in-law, Richard Gordon, Ambrose Wester, and sister-in-law, Lillian Raml.
Per Mary’s wishes, private services will be held at a later date.
