Occupation: Teacher
Community Involvement: I am a member and president of Friends of Lomira Parks; I am active at Trinity Methodist Church in Lomira; I help run the Lomira Farmers Market; I am a member of the Lomira Area Chamber of Commerce; Lomira FFA Alumni and Supporters; and I am an assistant coach for the LHS track team.
Why are you running for candidacy: I have always had a strong interest in keeping our community strong while helping move the village forward. I am committed to keeping this community a great place for people to live and work.
What are your qualifications: I have been a trustee on the board since 2020. I have held leadership positions in many committees while serving as a public school music teacher for over 20 years. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from UW-Whitewater and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Aurora University.
What experiences have best prepared you to serve as a village trustee: I am willing to do the work needed to improve our community. My experiences as a teacher, parent, coach, and volunteer have prepared me for working closely with citizens and making important decisions.
What do you feel is the biggest issue facing the community in the next year, and how do you plan to address it: I believe an ongoing challenge is providing the level of services our citizens need and want with the financial constraints we face.
Why should people vote for you: People should vote for me because I have demonstrated that I am willing to do the work necessary to make our community strong. I am willing to listen to the concerns of residents, compromise when necessary, and I believe that there are solutions to every problem. I take my position as trustee seriously and proudly serve and represent my community.
