Lomira Girls Basketball Loses to the Hot-Shooting Spartans

On February 6, Lomira girls basketball lost 85-19 to Laconia at home during their conference matchup.
Lomira (13-8, 6-5) trailed 8-4 to Laconia (16-2, 10-0) at the 15-minute mark, after Rachel Chervenka scored a basket for the Lions.
Savanna Frea scored two points in the post for Lomira to make the score 10-6, in favor of the Spartans, before Laconia went on to score 20 consecutive points to push their lead out to 30-6 over Lomira.
The Lions got a three-pointer from Josie Christian to close the gap to 30-9 before Laconia scored eight straight points to make the score 38-9.

Lomira’s Kennedy Goebel scored a jumper before the Spartans closed out the half with a 51-11 halftime lead over the Lions.
Christian scored five points early for the Lions in the second half for a score of 56-16, with Laconia leading on the scoreboard.
The Spartans finished off the game by making a total of 15 three-pointers in their 85-19 victory over Lomira.
Lomira was led in scoring by Josie Christian with eight points in the contest.
Lomira girls basketball traveled to Campbellsport on February 11 and travel to Springs on February 14 with game time scheduled for 7 p.m.
