Larry A. Scola

   Larry A. Scola, 81, passed away peacefully July 1, 2026, with his wife, Verna, at his side at the VA Hospital, Tuscon, AZ, after battling Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.
   Larry was born March 26, 1945, in Fond du Lac, and grew up in Mayville.
Larry was a devoted husband, father, brother, friend, and veteran. He will be remembered for his strength, loyalty, sense of humor and unwavering love for his family.
   He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp, serving two tours in Vietnam. His military service remained a source of pride throughout his life. After serving in the military, Larry returned home, hwhere he met and married the love of his life, Verna Keller, on February 7, 1970, in Iron Ridge.
   Larry worked for 44 years for Galloway West in Fond du lac and also worked for five years at the State of Wisconsin prison system.
   In their leisure time, their love for boating was spent on Lake Winnebago and many good times at the Fond du Lac Yacht Club. After retiring, they gave up their boating life and relocated to Green Valley, AZ, where they embraced desert life and many hiking adventures.
   Larry is survived by his loving wife, Verna; son, Sam (Heather); brothers, Bill (Cathy) Scola, Mike Scola, Tom (Sandy) Scola; and sister, Lisa Scola. He is further survived by in-laws, Betty McVicker, Ron (Ursula) Keller, Janet (Ron) Wendling, Charlie (Joann) Keller, Bill Keller, Mickey Kliefoth, Mariann (Rudy) Mohr, Barb Keller, Glady (Bob) Lang, Ike (Sue) Keller, Shirley (Loren) Giese, Bob (Barb) Keller and Sharon (Dave) Schaller. He is further survivied by many nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by his parents, Norm and Shirley Scola; his brother, Bob Scola; in-laws, Bill and Mildred Keller; brothers-in-law, Dan Keller, David Keller, and Jerry Kliefoth; and sister-in-law, Sue Keller.
   Larry will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
   A Celebration of Life will be held at the Kekoskee Village Hall, Town of Williamstown, W3275 Cty. Rd. TW, Mayville, on August 16, from 1 to 4 p.m.
   We would like to extend our thans to the VA Hospital in Tuscon, AZ, for the compassionate and excellent car Larry received.
