On September 25, Husticon football lost 40-6 to undefeated Pardeeville in their Eastern Suburban Conference matchup on homecoming.

Pardeeville (6-0, 4-0) held a 13-0 lead over Husticon (0-6, 0-4) in the first quarter when freshman running back Eleazar Selgard (102 rushing yards) broke a few tackles for a hard-earned 16-yard touchdown for the Marshfalcons, putting the score at 13-6.
“Collin made some good throws, and Adrian made some big catches for us,” said Husticon Head Coach Andrew Selgrad. “Eleazar had a nice night as well, and overall I was happy that we kept fighting all night.”
The Bulldogs responded by scoring the next 20 points in the first half to take a 33-6 halftime lead over Husticon.
“Pardeeville has some talented players. Devin Jerome (212 receiving yards) could play on any team in the state because he’s a very talented player with great hands, and Julian Wells (308 passing yards) is another quarterback in our loaded, talented quarterback conference,” said Selgard.
Husticon’s defense held the Pardeeville offense to seven points in the second half, highlighted by four total sacks, including two from Isaiah Hollingsworth.
“We were able to generate some pressure on defense with Isaiah and Adrian, but we just couldn’t match up with Jerome,” said Selgard. “You can see glimpses of what kind of potential our team has, but we have to get more consistent play on every snap. It is all part of the growing process of a young team.”
Husticon football will play at Marshall on October 2 at 7 p.m.
