The Horicon School District has achieved an overall performance score of 70.4 on their district report card. This score translates to “Meets Expectations” under the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) standards.
The district’s performance across the four key priority areas presents a mixed but generally strong picture:
• Achievement: With a score of 76.9, Horicon’s student performance on state assessments ranks higher than 82.9% of districts in the state. Subject-specific scores include English Language Arts at 75.2 and Mathematics at 78.5. This area summarizes proficiency using a points-based system that credits approaching and advanced performance.
• On-Track to Graduation: The district excels in preparing students for K-12 completion with a score of 90.3, placing it higher than 75% of districts statewide. Key indicators include a graduation score of 94.8 and a chronic absenteeism score of 88.5 (a higher score indicating lower absenteeism).
• Target Group Outcomes: Scoring 65.5, the district is higher than 52.8% of districts for outcomes among students with the lowest test scores. Within this area, achievement scores were 37.7 for English language arts and 35.7 for mathematics. Growth scores were 61.3 and 58.4, respectively. This area also reported a chronic absenteeism score of 79.3 and a graduation score of 92.9 for the target group.
