Council Matters
• During the Library Board report, Director Alexandra Harvancik shared they have hired a new youth service director, and the library’s summer program begins June 2 and runs through August 2.
• The Council approved Ordinances 2025-13, for DPW/Utilities, and 2025-14, for non-represented, establishing salaries and wages for city officials and employees, pursuant to section 136-1 of the municipal code.
• The Council approved Resolution 2025-03, a compliance maintenance resolution. DPW Director Cody Vanderhei explained, “[It’s] something that we do every year; it’s required from the DNR. We get a letter grade based on how each category goes. The only one that is starting to go downhill a little bit is our letter grade for influent... We scored high enough that we do not have to do any major action at this point... It would just be having the paperwork verified.”
