Helen C. “Nell” Vander Schaaf, 75, of Horicon, died peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.
In keeping with her wishes, the family will have a private inurnment at Oak Hill Cemetery in Horicon at a later date.
Helen Catherine was born on October 4, 1950, in O’Neill, NE, to Joseph and Rosemary (Bauer) Langan. Nell later moved to Juneau, and after graduating high school, she married Dale Vander Schaaf on April 18, 1972.
Nell is survived by her husband, Dale; children, Shawn (Joanna) Vander Schaaf, Jody (Ryan) Hegge, and Katie Huffman; grandchildren, Madeline, Maggie, Jacob and Marissa, Dominic and Clare, Nolan, Wyatt and Colton; other relatives and friends.
