Gerald C. Uecker, 71, of Mayville, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 30, 2026, at Kathy Hospice in West Bend.
Gerald was born on January 9, 1955, in Hustisford, to Virgil and Colleen (nee Peterman) Uecker.
He was united in marriage to Sandra Knueppel on August 14, 1976, and together they shared 49 years of marriage.
Gerald was a dedicated and hardworking man throughout his life. He was employed at Otto Hopfinger & Sons, Steel Craft, Resource Recovery, Multitek, and Rumar. In addition, he proudly owned and operated his own woodworking business, Home Improvement & Repair, for 19 years, where he put his craftsmanship and passion to work.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Sandra; his children, Angela (fiancé Donny Schaefer) Uecker, Tammy (friend Jeremy Gassner) Uecker, Melissa (Tony) Pieper, and Shawn (Amy) Uecker; his grandchildren, Bryanna Brace, Greyson Uecker, and Layla Uecker; and his step-grandchildren, Allisa (Hunter) Houk and Brianna Schaefer. He is further survived by his brother, Steven (Diane) Uecker, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Colleen Uecker.
A celebration of Gerald’s life will be held on Sunday, April 19, at The Meating Place (325 S German St, Mayville, WI 53050). Family will greet relatives and friends from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.
