Denis was born on August 4, 1936, and passed into the Lord’s arms on May 2, 2025. Denis led a fulfilling life, filled with love, adventure, and a strong sense of family.
His 20-year service in the U.S. Air Force took him to various states, providing him with diverse experiences and opportunities to meet new people.
After retirement, he and his wife of 69 years (in his own words) "The love of my life, my wife, the mother of my children, and the glue that made this family work. I am so proud of you and will always love you," built a beautiful log cabin on Lake O' the Pines, where they enjoyed a serene lake view and spent quality time with their friends and family.
Their love for RVing took them to 48 states and six provinces in Canada, showcasing their sense of adventure and desire to explore new places together. Denis and Joan shared a passion for dancing, particularly Polka, which brought them immense joy and created wonderful memories.
Family was at the center of Denis’ life, and he will be deeply missed by his survivors, including his daughters, Connie and Sandy; son, Robert; daughter-in-law, Emilie; granddaughter, Savannah; brother, Ronald (Karen); sister, Joan Hansen of Littleton, CO; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan.
His legacy will live on through the countless memories and stories shared by those who loved him.
