Jodi Ann Hernandez
Jodi was born on September 7, 1961 to Barbara and Oliver Eichstedt.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 5, at 1 p.m. at Community Church, N6717 Streblow Dr., Fond du Lac. Social distancing will be in practice. If you are unable to attend but would like to see the private Facebook live stream, please reach out to the family and we will add you to the private event.
If asked, Jodi would tell you that her absolute joy was being a mother; it was her favorite job in the world. Jodi was also deeply passionate about helping and caring for others, which was evident in her 20 years of service as a hairdresser. This role led her to the discovery of an even bigger calling, working in the healthcare industry. Responding to that call, Jodi worked the last 20 years as a CNA and caregiver where her true passion of caring for others was realized. She cared for all her clients with love, dignity, and respect. This standard of care meant that she was beloved by her clients and their families. Jodi would argue that there was simply no other way to do it.
Jodi’s many friends and relatives would also tell you that she took care of them in ways no one else every could. She had a smile and laugh that could fill any empty space. We will remember her in everything, but especially when we hear smooth jazz, when we dance, when we see beautiful and vibrant colors, and when we eat turtle sundaes.
Jodi wanted to leave these words for us: “thank you everyone for loving me and always giving me such tremendous support! Please look after my beautiful girls! Love you all so very much, now I’m an Angel!
She was the loving and devoted mother of Ashley and Brittany Hernandez of Oshkosh, dear sister of Mark Eichstedt, Oshkosh, Clark Eichstedt, Kewaskum, Glenn (Jackie) Eichstedt, Edgerton, Richard Eichstedt, Incline Village, NC, Kay (Terry) Eichstedt, Bishop, CA, Michelle (Tom) Buffin, Clayton, NC, Michael (Normadina) Eichstedt, Los Angeles, CA; cherished aunt to Erin, Adam, Angie, Carrie, Christopher, Angel, Luke, Drake, Clay, Petra, Calvin, and Everett; beloved and true friend to Jules (Chris) Meid, Pamela (Jerry) Stoffel; and so many, many more.
