St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mayville was transformed into the Old West for Wonder Junction Vacation Bible School (VBS), held July 28–31. With trains, cacti, horses, and a whole lot of energy, it was a rip roarin’ good time for everyone involved!
An average of 80 children from the community attended each evening, where they learned about the life of Jesus through engaging Bible lessons, crafts, songs, skits, rodeo-style games, and snacks. Before the fun began each night, families enjoyed a free meal together.
The success of the event was made possible thanks to the dedication of over 40 volunteers, who gave their time and talents to create a welcoming and faith-filled experience for the children and their families.
In addition to the fun and learning, the children and their families also made a big impact through giving. Together, they raised over $550 for Children’s Hunger Fund, which will provide more than 2,200 meals to those in need.
Special thanks to Thrivent Financial for their support in helping fund this event.
