Ronald Krentz

   Ronald Howard Krentz, 81, of Hartford, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026, in hospice care at his home. We are heartbroken to lose someone so special. He was a wonderful person that touched so many lives and he will be deeply missed.
   Ron was born on November 28, 1944, in Hartford, the son of Howard and Laura (Salzberger) Krentz. He graduated from Hartford High School.
   Following high school, Ron actively served in the U.S. Army stationed in Alaska and Texas from 1966-1969 and with the reserves through 1972.
   Ron was united in marriage to Carolyn Zimmerman on September 29, 1973, at Immanuel Lutheran (River) Church, beginning a loving partnership that spanned over 52 years.
   Ron worked at Allen Bradley in Milwaukee, then later worked as a master electrician for Krentz Electric and purchased the business from his father.
   He was a member at Hartford Gold Club, a Tennessee Squire, served as an usher at Divine Lutheran Church for many years, and was a founding member of their Sheepshead card group. He enjoyed planning family vacations to Florida and Wisconsin Dells.
   Ron is survived by his wife, Carolyn Krentz of Hartford; and children, Jennifer Patterson (Keath) Jupiter, FL, Jason Krentz (Kelly) Belgium, and David Krentz (Tessa) Germantown. Ronald is also survived by six grandchildren, nephews and nieces, and several great-nieces and nephews.
   Ron was predeceased by his father, Howard Krentz (Hartford); mother, Laura Krentz (Hartford); sister, Connie O’Neill (Conroe, TX), and sister, Beverly Krentz.
   The family will greet relatives and friends Friday, Jan. 16, at Divine Savior Lutheran Church (3200 Hwy K South, Hartford, Wi 53027) from 9 a.m. until the start of service at 11 a.m.
   The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Hartford Hospice for their care and compassion.
   Memorials in Ron’s name can be directed to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
