Pearl Czisny

Posted

Pearl (Siegmann) Czisny, 92, was born to Leonard and Erna Siegmann on October 26, 1932.

She graduated from Slinger High School and later attended Dodge County Normal Teachers College, where she met the love of her life, Robert Czisny. Pearl went on to complete her college education at the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh.

She dedicated over 40 years of her life to teaching in the West Bend School District, where she found great joy in guiding generations of first graders on their path to a lifelong love of learning.

Pearl and her husband, Robert, enjoyed many years doing wedding flowers for many brides in the area. They also enjoyed helping lead the Rubicon Ramblers 4-H Club, along with their dear friends, Wallace and Joan Pusch.

Pearl was known for her optimism and for always seeing the best in everyone she met.

Most importantly, Pearl was a woman of strong Christian faith. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and lived her life with grace, kindness, and purpose.

Pearl went home to the Lord on Tuesday, July 15, at her home of over 60 years in Rubicon, surrounded by her husband, Robert, and her dear friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Bernice Shaver and Marilyn Guenther; and her brother, Leonard Siegmann.

Those left to cherish Pearl’s memory include her loving husband, Robert Czisny, and their four children Wayne (Amber) Czisny, Bill (Sherry) Czisny, Steve (Kay) Czisny, Kathleen (Mark) Kuehl also Linda (Bill) Perry, Ray (Diane) Beal; eight grandchildren, Matt (Carrie Maass) Czisny, Heather (John) Reynolds, Austin Czisny, Trenton Czisny, Samantha Pearl (Eric) Blazel, Clayton (Ifeoluwa) Czisny, Derric Throne, Sara Terrell, and ten great-grandchildren, as well as many wonderful friends.

A special thank you to Legacy in home hospice and all very kind caregivers that comforted Pearl.

A celebration of Pearl’s life will be held at Hartford Senior Center / Senior Friends on Wednesday, Aug. 13,  with visitation from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and a service will start at 4:30 p.m., followed by time for fellowship. Hartford senior center is located at 730 Highland Ave. Hartford WI 53027
