Two standout athletes from Mayville have been recognized for their excellence on the mound with prestigious All-District honors, a level of achievement that reflects performance well beyond conference play.
Allie Schwirtz, a senior and ace pitcher for the Mayville softball team, was named to the Wisconsin Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association (WFSCA) All-District Honorable Mention team for District 4 (Medium Schools). Her award places her among the top softball players in southeastern Wisconsin. Schwirtz also earned All-District honors in the Metro District, a distinction that marks her as one of the best in her region and highlights her consistent dominance throughout the season.
On the baseball side, Weston Teeters, a key pitcher for the Mayville baseball team, was named to the Second Team All-District by the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association (WBCA). Competing in the Metro District, Teeters' strong performances on the mound helped lead the Cardinals throughout the season and earned him this recognition among a deep field of talent across the southeastern part of the state.
Both the WFSCA and WBCA divide the state into six regional districts. All-District selections are based on a player's performance, leadership, and impact during the season and serve as a bridge between All-Conference and All-State honors. For over 20 years, All-District awards in baseball, softball, football, and basketball have marked athletes who excel beyond their local leagues.
