At the City of Mayville Common Council meeting on Monday, Feb. 9, the council approved a motion to allow Mayville EMS to utilize the Mayville Senior Center for training and office use, after approaching the city about needing extra space for these purposes. The senior center group and senior dining program are expected to move to the TAG Center. This change will be effective April 1, 2026. More on this matter will be printed in an upcoming edition of the Dodge County Pionier.
The council made a motion to award the bids for the 2026 Muzzy/Allen Street project and the Grove Street (utility and street reconstruction) alternate to Kopplin & Kinas Company Inc. of Green Lake, following the recommendation made by Kunkel Engineering Group. The base bid came in at $1,022,800.53, with the alternate coming in at $531,699.17, both below the final estimates.
The council also approved a quote from Summit Infrastructure, in the amount of $30,885, for manhole rehabilitation.
The council approved a motion to have an outdoor archery range placed behind the TAG Center. Mayville Rotary plans to fund the project.
A representative from the Graceland Cemetery Association shared that they are planning a walk through the cemetery on May 16, 2026, almost an exact year after last spring’s tornadoes, to raise funds to repair tombstones. Five notable individuals from the community will be featured during the walk.
Nicole Goodwin was appointed to the Community Development Authority/Enhancements Committee, and Jaime Gunderson was appointed to the Medical & Health Advisory Committee.
