Vs Markesan
The Horicon Marshmen (7-3) were unable to maintain an early lead, ultimately falling to the Markesan Hornets (6-3) with a final score of 61-44 on Monday, Jan. 12.
The game started with promising energy for Horicon. Christian Schwartz ignited the offense with a quick three-pointer, immediately followed by another from Barrett Meyer. Meyer continued his strong performance shortly after, driving the court for a fast break two-pointer. Jay Graven was then assisted by Meyer on another fast break to build an early 10-4 lead. As the teams battled, the score tied at 20, Logan Robenhorst made his presence known with two key blocks to keep Markesan from pulling ahead. Late in the first half, a down-court pass from Quin Jackl found a wide-open Reed Vorlob for a two-point basket.
