On Tuesday, Sept. 2, the Horicon volleyball team fell to Oakfield in three sets, 25-14, 25-21, and 25-14.
“Our excitement and motivation to win was at a very high level prior to the match and during warm-ups. We started off strong and then started to have too many errors which brought our momentum down,” said Head Coach Tara Boehmer. “We have a saying that the mouth moves the feet. Moving forward we need to focus on better communication and having far less errors on our side of the net.”
Team leaders in the match included Hailey Firari with four kills, Aubrie Cundy with 13 digs, and Haily Niemuth with seven assists.
This week, Horicon traveled to Hustisford on Tuesday, Sept. 9, and then they travel to Wayland on Thursday, Sept. 11, with game time set for 7 p.m. On Saturday, Sept. 13, Horicon will also participate in a Beaver Dam invite that begins at 9 a.m.
