The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 43-year-old man Friday in connection with the disappearance of Alexis Nelson, authorities said.
Aaron Nelson was taken into custody on May 15 after an extensive investigation, according to the sheriff’s office. The Dodge County District Attorney has charged Nelson with first-degree intentional homicide and hiding a corpse. He is being held in Dodge County Jail.
Officials said the case has been difficult for Nelson’s family and the community. Law enforcement said no further details will be released at this time to protect the investigation and respect the family and judicial process. The criminal complaint is available through the Dodge County Clerk of Courts.
Authorities reminded the public that Nelson is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
