At St. Lawrence
On January 31, Lomria wrestling beat St. Lawrence 58-24 to outright win the regular season, Flyway Conference title.
The Lions finished with a perfect 7-0 conference dual record for the first time since the 2019-20 season.
The Lions collected nine pins in the match and were led by Jordan Lisiecki ranked sixth at the 113 weight class in Division 3, Marshall Hanke ranked fourth at the 138 weight class in Division 3, and Marek Lisiecki ranked fifth at the 150 weight class in Division 3.
“Wrestling two nights in a row is not something I never like doing with a rescheduling of the St. Lawrence dual but the team responded well,” said Head Coach Adam Kinyon. “The wrestlers were very loose and having fun before the meet but we were ready to finish our conference duals in a strong manner.”
“Now we have to refocus with the conference tournament and postseason coming up while we have reached some of our goals for this year but the most goals are still ahead of us,” said Kinyon.
Lomira wrestling will be looking to repeat as Flyway Conference Tournament Champions in the Flyway Conference wrestling tournament in Mayville on February 8 at 10 a.m.
