Lomira Track has Three Conference Champions

On May 15, the Lomira girls track finished in fourth place with 65 points, and the boys finished in eighth place with 29 points at the Flyway Conference Track Meet at Mayville on a very pleasant spring day.
Lomira’s Whitney Witkowski was the conference champion in the 1600m and 3200m for the Lions, with Witkowski repeating as champion in the 3200m race.
Hanna Faber won the Pole Vault to become the conference champion for the Lions girls track team.
The Lions got a second-place finish in the boys’ discus from Cole Geiger to lead the boys’ team at the conference meet.

At Campbellsport
On May 12, the Lomira girls track team finished in tenth place at 18 points, and boys’ track team finished in 11th place with 6 points during a lightning-shortened event with no 3200m and 4x400m at the Campbellsport Invite.
The girls’ team was led by the second-place finish by Hanna Faber in the Pole Vault and a fifth-place finish by Whitney Witkowski for the Lions.
Liam Clark paced the Lomira boys track team with a fifth-place finish in the Discus at the Invite.
Lomira track will travel to Horicon for the WIAA Division Three Track Regionals on May 26 at 4 p.m.
