Lomira Track Competes on Draft Day in Titletown

On April 25, the Lomira boys’ and girls’ track teams went for competition at the St. Norbert College Elite Meet during a cold and wet meet day for the Lions.
Lomira’s girls’ team finished in 12th place with 27 points, where they were led by Carlie Priesgen’s second-place finish in shot put and fourth-place finish in the discus in the field events.
The Lions’ girls’ track events were paced by a fourth-place finish in the 3200m from Whitney Witkowski and a third-place finish for the 4x800 relay team consisting of Hanna Faber, Natalie Hargrave, Zoey Bauer, and Witkowski.
At Omro

On April 22. Lomira boys’ and girls’ track teams competed in the Omro Flyway Conference Quad against Omro, WLA, and Laconia.
The Lomira girls’ team finished in fourth place with 58 points, and the boys’ team finished in fourth place with 29 points during the Quad meet.
The girls’ team was paced by first-place individual finishes from Zoey Bauer in the 3200m, Carlie Priesgen in shot put, and Hanna Faber in pole vault.
Lomira’s track team traveled to Mayville on April 29 for a Flyway Conference Quad and will travel back to Mayville on May 1 for an invitational starting at 4 p.m.
