NFDL scored their only run of the game in the second inning before Izzy Westphal ripped a RBI double to center to start the scoring, and the inning was capped off by a Bloohm RBI single to increase the Lions' lead to 6-1.

At WLA
On April 29, Lomira softball lost 1-0 to WLA in a surprising upset during the Flyway Conference matchup.
Lomira (12-3, 7-2) came into the game with WLA (4-8, 2-7) on an eight-game win streak.
The Lions got a double from Nora Buske in the top of the first inning, but their normally potent offense couldn’t drive in the run with one out to keep the game scoreless after one inning.
Both offenses were contained by quality pitching and defense during the game, highlighted by Buske’s impressive 15 strikeouts from the pitching circle against WLA hitters in the game.
The Lomira offense tried to get going again with a leadoff double by Taylor Bloohm in the sixth inning, but that opportunity was ended with a double play by the Vikings.
WLA was able to scratch across the only run of the game in the bottom of the sixth inning with two outs against them to take the 1-0 lead over the first-place Lions.
Lomira was able to get one runner on the base paths in the seventh inning, but weren’t able to mount a comeback in the 1-0 upset by the Vikings.
