Lomira was down 1-0 at halftime before WLA scored two quick goals in the second half, en route to their 4-0 conference win over the visiting Lions.

“We were able to navigate into the attacking third of the field fairly consistently and prevented clean shots on goal for much of the game through strong defensive play,” said Head Coach Chris Keiler. “We were able to pull back together as a team to respond to the charge and work collectively to execute the game plan.”

Lomira jumped out to a 3-0 halftime lead over Campbellsport, and continued to score five more goals in the second half, with the final goal coming at the 78th minute to win the match 8-0 over the Cougars.
“We completed over 75 percent of their passes, resulting in a controlled match with over 70 percent possession of the ball,” said Head Coach Chris Keiler. “It was great to see the team come out for their Senior Night and homecoming game with a desire to work together and play with strategic focus.”

Lomira soccer will travel to play at Living Word Lutheran in Jackson on October 10 at 6 p.m.
