Lomira Soccer Gets Second Win of the Season at Wautoma

Saturday, September 13
Wautoma Tournament
Game 3
Lomira (2-7-1) 0

Nekoosa 2
Final
“The Lions continued to play well, but struggled to find the back of the net throughout the 2-0 loss,” said Head Coach Chris Keiler. “We maintained the bulk of the possession in the match and played great team defense with only two shots on goal allowed in the match.”
“With players returning to play for the last two games of the tournament, our program and team identity started to return in our play,” said Keiler. “Confidence is rising amongst the players as we get back to conference play this week.”

Game 2

Lomira (2-7-1) 2
Wautoma 0
Final
Goals: Aidyn Wittmer (Unassisted). Keagan Fleischer (free kick deflection off of a Wautoma player)
“We had the majority of the possessions throughout the match by controlling all facets of the game,” said Keiler. “We passed the ball with great success in this match and showed great teamwork in all three levels of the field.”

Game 1
Lomira (2-7-1) 0
West Salem 5
Final
“We needed to play down the entire match with only ten eligible players able to suit up for the game,” said Keiler. “Despite playing nine or ten players throughout the match, we were able to hold the possession and prevent promising attacks from West Salem for a good portion of the game.”
