On Tuesday, April 8, the Golf Club of Camelot hosted the first Flyway Conference Mini-Meet in Lomira. The meet consisted of two rounds, and Lomira placed second in both with scores of 181 in the first and 170 in the second.
Lomira’s new head coach, Tyler Witkowski, said, “I was really happy with our performance today. I did not know what to expect with it being the first meet and my first time coaching at a golf meet, but I was pleasantly surprised on how well we did today.”
“I was really proud of our golfers,” continued Witkowski. “Today, each one of them at some point really had to grind and focus and kind of right the ship.”
The Lions’ competed in an invitational at Rolling Meadows on Monday, April 14, this week. After the Easter break, they travel to South Hills Golf Course on Wednesday, April 23. The invite begins at 10 a.m.
