Lomira Football Season Preview
Head Coach: Bryan Gregory
2025 Season: 6-4 (4-3 in the Flyway Conference), lost in the first round of Level 1 Playoffs
“This year’s group returns a lot of experience, with last season’s bitter ending having been on everyone’s minds and has driven them day in and day out,” said Head Coach Bryan Gregory. “Their work ethic is second to none and they have extremely high expectations for themselves.”
“We know we need to have a greater focus on the details to compete night in and night out with any opponent,” said Gregory. “Taking it one day at a time and ensuring we’re getting better every week will put us in a position to compete for an outright conference championship and by doing so will help make sure all playoff roads lead through Lomira.”

“Offensively, we return a lot of key players who are primed for even bigger years,” said Gregory. “Our offensive line is going to be a major strength of ours and is going to be the driving force behind the team’s overall success.”
“Defensively, we look to play fast and physical, needing everyone to be fundamentally sound and need everyone to star in their role,” said Gregory. “If all 11 do their jobs, the group has a chance to be special.”
“The Flyway Conference is as tough as ever, with every night a dogfight and we know every opponent is going to give us their best shot,” said Gregory. “We feel the conference helps make us battle-tested for the playoffs and beyond.”
“We try to schedule games early on that will test us and serve as an early benchmark for where we stand heading into conference play,” said Gregory. “Horicon and Milwaukee King are playoff teams that will both be well coached and ready to play high-level football early in the year.”
Lomira will open the 2026 season Friday, Aug 14, at 10 a.m. with a preseason scrimmage against Sheboygan Falls at home. The Lions will then begin the regular season at home on Friday, Aug 21, against Husiticon, with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m.
