Lomira Baseball Continues Conference Play

On May 4, Lomira baseball lost 11-4 to Winnebago Lutheran on the road for the Vikings to secure the season series.
WLA (8-5, 5-3) jumped out to a 4-0 lead over Lomira (2-10, 1-7) after three innings before the Lions responded by getting an RBI single from Nathan Leiter in the fourth inning to close the gap to 4-1.
The Lions offense got going in the fifth inning, trailing 5-1, when Maddox Bodden led off the inning with a single, followed by a Kolton Wagoner single for Lomira.
Lomira scored three runs in the inning thanks to RBI singles from Jackson Bloohm and Dawson Casper to make the score 5-3 before the fifth inning was capped off by a RBI double from Blake Steger to close the inning with a 5-4 score in favor of the Vikings

The Vikings added a run in the fifth and then scored five runs in the sixth inning to pull away from the Lions to get the 11-4 conference win.
Maddox Bodden, Jackson Bloohm, and Dawson Casper combined for six hits for the Lions offense.
Vs Omro
On April 30, Lomira baseball lost 12-2 to Omro at home, with the Foxes winning the season series between the two teams.
Omro (12-1, 7-1) scored first in the game with a run in the first inning to take a 1-0 lead over Lomira (2-10, 1-7).
The Lions responded in the bottom of the first inning with Charlie Cole getting a single to get Lomira started on offense, then Jackson Bloohm drove in Cole with a RBI single to tie the game at one.
Lomira executed a double steal of second and home, resulting in Kolton Wagoner stealing home to give the Lions a 2-1 lead after the first inning.
The Foxes scored a run in the second and third innings to take a 3-2 lead before the close game between the two teams was changed in the sixth inning when Omro scored eight runs to increase their lead to 11-2 over the Lions.
Omro scored one final run in the seventh inning to make the final score 12-2 in their conference victory.
At Omro
On April 28, Lomira baseball lost 3-2 to Omro on the road in the first game of the two-game series.
Omro (12-1, 7-1) scored first in the third inning to take a 1-0 lead over the Lomira (2-10, 1-7).
Lomira got a leadoff single from Kolton Wagoner, followed by a single from Jackson Bloohm in the fourth inning, with Bloohm coming around to score on a throwing error with two outs to tie the game at one.
The Foxes scored two runs in the fifth inning to take a 3-1 lead before Lomira got a leadoff single from Dawson Casper and a single from Nathan Leiter in the seventh inning.
The Lions scored a run by Miles Amerling on a passed ball to make the score 3-2 in favor of Omro in the seventh.
Lomira had one final opportunity to win the game with runners on first and second with one out, but the Lions weren’t able to score another run in the game, resulting in the 3-2 Omro win.
“Logan threw five strong innings, only allowing three runs,” said Head Coach Sid Lehman.
Lomira baseball hosted Mayville on May 5 after print time. Lomira will travel to Mayville on May 7 and travel to Kewaskum on May 11, with game times at 5 p.m.
