Lomira Alumni Carlie Priesgen finished in sixth place in her shot put competition for Ripon College at the Indoor Midwest Conference Championships at Grinnell College in Iowa on February 27-28.
Lomira Alumni Kara Kuge of UW-Stevens Point finished in second place at the NCAA Region V Championships on February 21 in her 180 weight class to qualify for the first-ever NCAA Women's NCAA Championships beginning on March 6 in Coralville, Iowa.
Lomira Alumni Logan Neitzel of UW-Stevens Point finished in fourth place in the WIAC wrestling tournament on February 21 in his 197-weight class to qualify for the NCAA Region VII in Eau Claire. Neitzel finished in fifth place at the NCAA Regional in his weight class on February 28.
Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Championships at the University of Wisconsin–Platteville on Saturday, Feb. 28, Mayville High School alum Emma Karnitz competes in the women’s 3,000-meter run. Karnitz placed 10th in 10:27.07 after qualifying the previous week with a personal record 10:22.57 at the Snowshoe Open at the University of Minnesota. The WIAC is widely regarded as one of the most dominant conferences in NCAA Division III, with a level of competition that often surpasses other D3 conferences nationwide. Campbellsport Alumni Logan Nolan of UW-Stevens Point ran the 1200m in the distance medley at the WIAC conference meet on February 27-28, where the medley relay team took third place at the meet.
