Horicon Lions Donate $1,000 After Powerful June Storm

Posted

The Horicon Lions Club is proud to donate $1,000 to the Horicon Fire Bell Club to help offset unbudgeted costs incurred by the Horicon Volunteer Fire Department following the devastating June 10 storm in Horicon.

On June 10, 2026, a powerful severe thunderstorm with intense straight-line winds ripped through downtown Horicon, tearing roofs from buildings, collapsing brick facades onto vehicles along Lake Street (Highway 33), and displacing more than a dozen residents and multiple local businesses. The Horicon Volunteer Fire Department worked tirelessly in the aftermath, resulting in additional costs for consumable supplies and labor hours.

This $1,000 donation was made possible through an emergency relief grant from Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF). We are grateful for the opportunity to put these funds to work supporting the local heroes who stepped up when our community needed them most.
