Horicon Boys Basketball Dominates Trailways Conference Early in Season

The Horicon boys’ basketball team secured a dominant victory over Wayland Academy on Tuesday, December 2, defeating their opponent with a final score of 85-31. The win moves Horicon’s early-season record to 1-1, while Wayland Academy drops to 0-1.
The game was marked by an early offensive explosion from Horicon, which quickly took control of the contest.
Christian Schwartz got the scoring started for Horicon, sinking a three-pointer early in the first half and following up with a second three-pointer with just over 13 minutes remaining in the half.
Barrett Meyer contributed inside with a layup at the 15-minute mark, and later added a second layup.

The three-point barrage continued with Jay Graven hitting from beyond the arc with just over eight minutes to go in the first half, and Quin Jackl adding another three-pointer around the 7:30 mark.
Isaiah Hollingsworth rounded out the first-half highlights with a fast-break score.
In the second half, Reed Vorlob connected on an early three-pointer, capping off a strong shooting night for the Horicon team.
Horicon’s offense proved too much for Wayland Academy to handle, leading to a lopsided victory for the home team.
Vs Hustisford
The Horicon Boys Basketball team delivered another dominant performance on Friday, December 5, defeating Hustisford with a final score of 77-20. The victory improves Horicon’s record to 2-1, while Hustisford remains winless at 0-3.
The game was marked by another early and overwhelming offensive attack from Horicon, fueled by accurate shooting from beyond the arc and aggressive defense leading to fast break opportunities.
Christian Schwartz ignited the offense, opening the game with a three-pointer and later adding a layup to give Horicon an early 10-point lead.
Quin Jackl quickly followed Schwartz’s opening shot with a three-pointer of his own and sank another later in the first half as Horicon built an insurmountable lead.
Barrett Meyer was a consistent presence in the scoring column, notching a fast break score, a quick two-point basket to push the lead to 15, and sinking a three-pointer.
The three-point barrage continued with Jay Graven also connecting from deep.
The second half was highlighted by fast-break scoring from Meyer and Jackl, as Horicon cruised to a decisive victory.
Horicon played Fall River at home on Monday, Dec. 8. They will then be on the road for the remainder of the month.
