Eugene H. Fischer, 85, of Horicon passed away at Prairie Ridge Assisted Living in Waupun on Saturday, May 24, 2025.
In honoring Eugene’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
Eugene was born on March 3, 1940, to Erwin and Ruth (nee Pahl) Fischer in the Town of Williamstown.
   He attended Mayville High School.
On June 30, 1990, he was united in marriage to Stella Parrish in Oak Grove.
Eugene worked and retired from Mayville Engineering Company. Eugene partnered with his best friends, Dennis and Jeanne Schmidt, in cash cropping. He considered Dennis and Jeanne to be family and was very proud to work with them.
Eugene was an experienced trapshooter and often shot trap at the Horicon Gun Club. He rolled bar dice weekly and looked forward to any chance he could to go hunting. He had coon dogs that he would use to go coon hunting. In addition, he often hunted goose, deer, and even mule deer. He was a skilled hunter and found peace outdoors.
Eugene is survived by his children, Rodney (special friend Lynn Hurst) Fischer, Deb (Wendall) Muche; daughter-in-law, Jackie Fischer; and former daughter-in-law, Sandy (special friend Curt Remich) Fischer; his five grandchildren, Ryan Fischer, Lindsay (John) Jonas, Shelby (Justin) Braun, Derek (Lea) Muche, and Courtney (Lucas) Villwock; two step-grandchildren, Leyton Lawrence and Maxwell Breber; eight great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Shewin (Jeanne) Fischer, Bonnie (Bob) King, Wendy (Gary) Hinz. Eugene is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
Eugene was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Stella, in 1991; his son, Jeff; and his brother, Lynn.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Prairie Ridge in Mayville and Waupun for the compassionate care shown to Eugene and his family during his stay. A special thank you to Lori from Generations Hospice. Your kindness and care will always be appreciated.
