Esther Louise Buechel, 72, of Iron Ridge, passed away on Monday, Feb. 2, 2026, at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee.
In honoring the family’s wishes, a private family funeral service will be held for Esther.
Esther was born the daughter of Leroy and Esther (Howland) Swanson on May 31, 1953, in Illinois.
She was united in marriage to Emil Buechel on September 23, 1972, at St. John’s Brown’s Corners, where she also was a member.
Esther loved to garden and tend to her flowers. Esther treasured her family and cherished spending time with her grandchildren.
Esther is survived by her husband, Emil; her daughters, Cheryl (Anthony) Summers, and Barbara (Timothy) Haag; and her four grandchildren, Emily Summers, Solomon Summers, Joseph Haag, and Tyler Haag. Esther is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents; her mother and father-in-law; and several of her siblings.
