“The Dodgeland (HD) United girls soccer team proved their toughness in a physically demanding conference match against Central Wisconsin Christian (CWC) School,” said Head Coach Kelly Fink. “Operating with only two substitutes and missing senior offensive leader Adalyn Raue due to a quad injury, HD United relied on sheer determination to weather the storm.”

Assists: Julia Candelaria (3rd minute). Anya Burke (30th minute). Aubrey Fetzer (57th minute). Brihanna Romero (69th minute)
In a back-and-forth thriller, the Hustisford/Dodgeland (HD United) girls varsity soccer team secured its first Flyaway conference victory of the season with a gritty 4-3 win over Campbellsport.
The contest was a showcase of senior leadership and emerging talent, defined by a four-goal performance from senior Adalyn Raue and a standout defensive effort that held off a late-game surge by the Cougars.
The scoring opened early when senior Julia Candelaria delivered a perfectly placed pass to Raue, who found the back of the net at the 3:28 mark to give HD United the initial lead.
It took Campbellsport a while to answer back, but the momentum shifted at 25:24 with a rocket goal from Ireland Stahmann.
HD United regained the advantage before the break thanks to a massive punt from goalkeeper Anya Burke; the ball quickly transitioned to Raue for a breakaway, and she scored her second goal at 30:26, sending United into halftime with a 2-1 lead.
The second half began as a defensive stalemate until Campbellsport tied the game at the 55:19 mark on a goal by Oliva Forcier
The deadlock was short-lived, as Raue—playing through a persistent injury—reclaimed the lead just two minutes later. At 57:19, sophomore Aubrey Fetzer threaded a precise through-ball to Raue, whose calm and collected finish put HD United back on top.
Raue capped off her incredible offensive night at the 69:07 mark, netting her fourth goal of the game after sophomore Brihanna Romero fought through traffic to deliver a hard-fought cross into the center of the box.
While the offense provided the lead, the victory was anchored by a resilient defensive unit led by seniors Kennedy Newville, Pamela Munoz, sophomore Allie Kulkee, and Freshman Abby Schifelbine.
The organization of the back line was vital as Campbellsport launched a desperate final assault. New-to-the-sport goalkeeper Anya Burke was instrumental in the win, recording 16 saves and effectively acting as a wall against the Cougar attack.
Although Campbellsport managed a final goal at 74:45 to pull within one, the HD United defense stood firm in the closing minutes to seal the 4-3 conference win.
Our team of 16 players is an amazing group...where 5 girls that have never played soccer before, my sophomore goalkeeper played softball and volleyball her whole life, not soccer (she’s picked it up amazingly!), and I have a great group of 7 seniors,” said Dodgeland/Hustisford Head Coach Kelly Fink.
