City of Mayville Planning for Future

The City of Mayville Common Council held a regular meeting on Monday, Sept. 8 at City Hall.
Council Matters
• The Council approved the proposed 2026-2030 five-year Capital Improvement Plan.
• The Council passed a motion four to one to approve resolution 6010-2025, increasing sanitary sewer service fees to close on revenueCity bonds and prove 110% debt coverage.
• The City will be establishing a Medical and Health Advisory Committee in response to SSM Health closing the clinic in the city.

• The Council approved awarding the bid for the 2025 River Knoll Drive Street utility extension and excavation project to Kartechner
Brothers, LLC from Waupun, as recommended by Kunkel Engineering Group, who came in at $913,572.22.
• The Council approved an invoice from Lunda Construction, in the amount of $13,905.24, for lower dam repairs.
• At the meeting, the recipients of the first Mayor’s Beautification Award for 2025 were announced. Winners were Scott and Shelli Haipek, Jason and Kate Liebenow, and Michael and Joanne Engel.
