Bushkie Family Donates to Horicon Marshmen Foundation and Presents $1,000 Mike Bushkie Memorial Scholarship

Posted

Di Bushkie, Director at Horicon Marshmen Foundation, set up a scholarship fund in honor of Mike Bushkie with the purpose of supporting Horicon students. The scholarship is formally known as the Mike Bushkie Memorial Award, but is also known as the “Good Guy Award.” The $1,000 scholarship is presented to a Horicon High School senior recognized for their sense of humor, positive attitude, willingness to work and play hard, kindness toward others, having friends in all circles of life, and believing in the value of both education and sports.
Teachers at Horicon High School nominate several students for this scholarship. The final decision is ultimately made by the members of the senior class. We’re excited to announce that this year’s recipient is Bryce Twardokus, son of Kristin and Carl Twardokus. Bryce will be attending UW-Whitewater in the fall. While at UW-Whitewater, Bryce will be studying Human Performance, a precursor to Physical Therapy
School. Best wishes to Bryce in this next exciting chapter of his life!
