April Mayville Rotary Student of the Month

Mayville High School senior Kaitlyn Billington is named Rotary Student of the Month for April 2025. She addressed Mayville Rotary Club members at their last meeting and shared the following about herself:
“My name is Kaitlyn Billington. First and foremost, I would like to say thank you for giving me the opportunity to be this month’s Rotary Student of the Month. This opportunity is now one of many that have been provided to me through the Mayville community.
“Through the community, I have been able to participate in many clubs and sports. I have had the privilege of being in the Spanish Club, Interact Club, National Honor Society, and Student Council. In these clubs, I was able to learn and demonstrate leadership skills through being a secretary and vice president for the Spanish Club and vice president for National Honor Society. They have given me a multitude of volunteer opportunities that have allowed me to help those in my community while making everlasting memories with my friends.
“Alongside my club involvement, I have had the privilege of playing both basketball and tennis for all four years of high school. Being in these
sports has allowed me to learn leadership skills while also learning the importance of being a player.
“Overall, Mayville has helped to build my character and shape who I am as a person. I know that the qualities I have learned from Mayville will help me to excel as I continue my education at UW-La Crosse studying exercise science on the pre-athletic training track.”
