Shirley V. Kempf
Visitation: Saturday, August 24 from 9-11 a.m. Memorial Mass: Saturday, August 24 at 11 a.m. Location: Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 331 Main Street, Kewaskum. Shirley V. Kempf (Staehler), age 82 years, of Kewaskum was unexpectedly called home to be with the Lord on August 16, 2019.Shirley was born on May 12, 1937 in West Bend to Andrew and Esther Staehler (Ohrmund). She was united in marriage to Leander “Lee” Kempf on August 18, 1956 at St. Frances Cabrini in West Bend. She was a Loan Officer at Valley Bank in Kewaskum for many years. Shirley was a long-time member and active volunteer at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. She was part of the Red Hats Ladies Group. Most of all Shirley loved spending time with her family and made it a top priority to plan and organize family functions. She always enjoyed being involved in her family’s lives and keeping everyone updated. Those Shirley leaves behind to cherish her memory include her six children, Lynn (Jim) Gaffke, LuAnn (Tim) Potter, Carrie (Al) Copperud, Pam (Jeff) Newhauser, Lisa (Matt) Perkins and Holly (John) Swanson; 17 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her brother, Eddie (Sandy) Staehler; brother-in-law, Alan (Janice) Kempf; and sister-in-law, Carolyn (Jim) Lindemann; as well as cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and her husband, Lee, Shirley was preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Staehler; brother-in-law, Marvin (Althea) Kempf; sister-in-law, Shirley (Roland) Koepke; and grandson, Anthony Potter.Memorial Mass for Shirley will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (331 Main Street – Kewaskum, WI 53040) with Father Jacob Strand officiating. Inurnment will be at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Kewaskum following Mass.Shirley’s family will greet relatives and friends at Church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. Memorials to Holy Trinity Catholic Church or Holy Trinity Catholic School, both in Kewaskum.
