Bauer, 90, of Mayville passed away on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019, at Prairie Ridge in Mayville. Lorraine was born the daughter of Hubert and Eva (Arndt) Miller on June 7, 1929, in Mayville. She was a 1947 graduate of Mayville High School. Lorraine was united in marriage to Richard Bauer on October 7, 1950, at St. Andrew in LeRoy. Lorraine had worked at the canning factory in Mayville. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and served as a Christian Mother. In her spare time, Lorraine enjoyed bingo and watching baseball, especially the Milwaukee Brewers. Family was also important to Lorraine and she cherished the time spent with them. Lorraine is survived by her sons, George (Marian) Bauer of North Fond du Lac, Charles Bauer of Florence, and Randal (Mary Sue) Bauer of Bradenton, FL; her grandchildren, Wendy Bauer, Jared Bauer, Nathan (Andrea) Bauer, Nicolas Bauer, Christopher (Wendy Ingram) Bauer, Aaron Bauer, and Lindsey (Shane) Ayala; her great-grandchildren, Mercedes, Katina, Taylor, Jada, Jocelyn, and Joshua; her great-great-grandson, Jonah; her brother and sisters-in-law, Marion Ruddy, Stella Bauer, Patty Sternat, Darlene Bauer, and Eugene (Arlien) Bauer. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard; granddaughter, Ami; step-granddaughter, Michelle Page; and siblings, Pearl Miller and Evelyn Frank. Visitation was held on Wednesday, Sept. 18, from 2 to 4 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville. A Mass of Christian Burial took place on Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 4 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville with the Rev. Fr. Tom Biersack presiding. Anding, 94, of Mayville, passed away on Friday, Sept. 6, 2019, at Prairie Ridge Assisted Living in Mayville with her grandson Scott by her side. Betty was born the daughter of Chester and Alta (Ferdon) Romain on June 11, 1925, in Catawba. She was a graduate of Marshfield High School. Betty was united in marriage with Oris A. Anding on March 2, 1946, in Marshfield. Betty was a secretary for the Mayville School District for 38 years. Betty was a faithful member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville, where she served on the church council and was a member of the choir and bell choir. She was a member of the Mayville American Legion Auxiliary choir. Betty received the Mayville High School Katie Award and Betty was a huge Mayville sports fan. Music was a lifelong passion, she also loved reading. She will be missed by her daughters, Dr. Kathleen (Mike) Jones of Apple Valley, CA, Peggy (Chuck) Schultz of Sun Prairie, Pat (Gene) Frings of Mayville and Susan (Paul) Anderson of Carpentersville, IL, grandchildren, Dr. Sara (Jon) Keenan-Smith, Christopher Damiani, Jeff Pieper, Scott (special friend Jennifer Charles) Pieper, Melisa (Tom) Gmirek, Christina (Chuck) White and Abby (Ron) Kessler; great-grandchildren, Joshua Buske, Sam Gmirek, Aubrey White, and Keaton White; and her great-great-grandchildren, Landen and Talon Buske. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Oris in 1994; her brother Warren; and her special friend Louise Mack. A visitation will take place on Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Sara Gillespie officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery in Mayville. If desired, memorials may be directed to the Mayville Public Library Building Fund. Roll, 94, of Juneau, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 5, at Clearview in Juneau. Milton was born the son of Armond and Irma (Krueger) Roll on June 8, 1925, in Kekoskee. He was united in marriage to Corinne Hagen on July 24, 1951, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Woodland. Milton first farmed in Horicon and then in 1972 dairy farmed in Juneau where he continued for the rest of his life and was still driving tractor at the age of 92. He was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Horicon. Milton and his wife enjoyed dancing, polka music, and travel. Milton was also a man who could fix anything and will be fondly remembered by his family as someone that would lend a hand to anyone in need. Milton is survived by his wife of 68 years, Corinne of Juneau; his children, Allen Roll of West Bend, Diane (Ralph) Boehlen of Hustisford, and Sheryl (Pete) Heiling of Princeton; his grandchildren, Christopher (Jessica) Boehlen, Andrew (Katie) Boehlen, Michelle (Tim) Giese, Pamela (Kenny) Sperla, Jason Heiling, Stacey (Russ) Shurpit, Eric (Rachel) Heiling, Jayme (Jessica) Roll, Jeremy (Jody) Roll, and Jennilyn (Lamar) Chaplin; his 30 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Raymond Roll of Horicon, Darlene Schwantes of Juneau, and Norma (Wayne) Pluckhan of CA. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Verna Wellnitz and Lorraine Roll. A visitation was held on Wednesday, Sept. 11, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:30 p.m. at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial for Milton was held on Wednesday, Sept. 11, at 12:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Parish in Horicon with the Rev. Fr. Justin Lopina presiding. Sharon “Smurf” M. (Murphy) Walter, 58, of Theresa found peace on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019. She was born on February 19, 1961, to her parents in Milwaukee. Sharon grew up in the Merton area and graduated from Arrowhead High School. On August 3, 1996 she was united in marriage to Kim Walter in Theresa. Together they raised their son. She was a member of the Theresa Women’s Water Barrel Team. Sharon enjoyed gardening, fishing, and going to the races. She will be missed by all who knew her. Those Sharon leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Kim Walter; her son, Harley Walter; her two sisters, Carol (Andy) Burrack and Janet (Andrew) Plumbly; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Murphy. Private family service will be held at a later date.
