Mayville High School senior Evan Marx has committed to attending the University of Alabama, accepting an invitation to join the University of Alabama (UA) Clay Shooting Team in fall 2021. Evan is an accomplished clay shooter, laser focused on his goal to join the UA Clay Shooting Team and pursue his collegiate education at a university “Where Legends are Made.”

The third annual School District of Mayville PTA Fun Run and a Playground Grand Reveal event were held on Thursday, Sept. 17. Students attending 4K through eighth grade participated in this year’s Fun Run by walking for approximately 20 minutes in classroom groups. KAREN ROUSE “Our weekend excitement – a beekeeper couple from Farmersville rescued the hive of honeybees from our shed in Mayville. It was pretty amazing to watch!” stated a message from Tracy Heron last week. It was accompanied by photos and videos of thousands of honeybees in a hive in the Heron shed/garage located on the family’s property at Bridge and South John Street, behind Mayville City Hall.
