KAREN ROUSE City of Mayville property tax payers will pay taxes levied at a rate of $8.29 per thousand dollars of assessed value (approximately $3.24 million) this year. Hit And Run On October 30, the Mayville Police Department (MPD) responded to the 1000 block of North Main Street for a report of a hit and run traffic crash. The officer located a 2002 Ford Explorer that had struck a power pole on private property. The vehicle had suffered extensive damage to the front driver’s side from striking the pole. KAREN ROUSE Voters in the City of Mayville cast a total of 2,935 ballots in the General Election held on November 3. According to Clerk Sara Decker, 2,935 people voted, including 1,756 absentee voters.The city had a total 3,220 registered voters at the start of the election day; however, it saw 222 election day registrations, which had not been entered as of Wednesday, Nov. 4. It was not yet known how many of those were address and/or name changes.
