Zamorano Takes 63rd At State Meet


MITCHELL BRADLEY KELLER “[The state meet] was definitely one for the memory books,” she said via social media. “Beyond proud of this guy.”Horicon High School junior Austin Zamorano ran in the WIAA Division 3 State Cross Country Championship meet in West Salem last week and came away with a finish of 63 out of 113 individuals with a time of 18:30.48.

MITCHELL BRADLEY KELLER With a surplus budget of roughly $298,000 for 2020-21 and a mill rate well-below the district’s self-imposed limit of 11 (10.43), one might not expect a tone of anxiety among the School District of Horicon’s Board of Education, but during a pandemic, “cautious optimism” might be akin to “pure elation.”
